At EMBERSHIELD HOME HARDENING, we are the first Fire Mitigation and Home Hardening General Contractor and Certified Home Hardening Inspectors in El Dorado County CA! We set the standards for layered fire protection of properties and communities here in Gold Country USA. We only recommend, use, and install Class "A" fire-rated products that work!

EMBERSHIELD HOME HARDENING is owned and operated by David Young and Dale Bourassa, men of integrity and honesty. We have sought out only the best, highly innovative products and services that solve significant problems in a (WUI) Wildland Urban Interface environment. With our origins right here locally, Embershield was established in 2025. An American company based right here in Old Historic Placerville, CA. 

Confronted by the scale of WUI fires here in the Sierra Nevada mountains and across the United States in recent decades, Embershield partnered with leading Class "A" rated product manufacturers to bring these products to homeowners here in Northern California. Being personally affected by the Caldor Fire of 2021 and the desire to help our community, with more than 2 years of research into the developing Home Hardening industry, led to the establishment of EMBERSHIELD HOME HARDENING LLC.
